Is it Normal for my 8 month old Daughter to watch TV?

I have a 8 month old baby girl. I have noticed that when a specific commercial comes on T.V (the one with the kids from St. Judes Hospital) she stops whatever she is doing and watches the whole thing. Its very funny because she might be going to sleep and she will wake up and watch it and then go back to sleep. Its only with this commercial. She even stops blinking!!!Is this normal??

Babies are attracted to certain sounds/sights.  T.V. has that.  I hope you don't have the t.v. on for her all the time.

dont let her to watch tv pleasee it is very dangerous for small childrens because they have light eyes and tv gives to much radiation which is dangerous for our body .

My son does that to Checkers commercials, and the flea treatment commercial with the dogs at camp.

He can be almost asleep, and he will jump up and stare if those come on.. then once it's over.. he'll lay back down as if nothing happened. lol

It's normal. =)
