  1. of course =]

  2. Why would it not be OK?!

  3. Yes. Teachers are predominantly females. With the divorce rate what it is today and all the single moms, male role models are desparately needed...what better place than the school system.

  4. Sure. I know male aides (paraprofessionals). They come in really handy in the special ed classes that are mostly dominated by boys who could use a male figure as a role model.

  5. Absolutely!  My best teaching assistants have been males.  I teach middle school and the kids loved my last teaching assistant, he played basketball with them at lunch and just sat and talked to them.

A lot of my students this year continue to write letters to him in Iraq, which tells me that he made a positive impact on their lives.

Go for it, you will get great experience and you will know if you want to be a teacher.

  6. of course it is ok, why would it not be?

  7. We're had male teacher aides at my school for quite some time now.

  8. Yes and kids love it when there are males around. The schools system is filled with allot of females and so the kids are surrounded by women a lot of the time (not that this is a bad thing). I would love to see more men in the school system it's a great idea. I am a teachers aid and I am going to school to be a teacher. It's also a great job to have while you are going to school if you change your mind. My job works great with my school schedule.
