  1. UUUuuh NO! If on the invitation says come dress in all white then go for it!

Why would a man want to wear all White TUX to another man's wedding for?

  2. Sure, but only if he's the groom. A guest wearing anything "full-white" would be very innappropriate.

  3. Sure , why not especially if it is a day weddng. I guess a better question would be , what is the harm to anyone if he ( the groom ) wears a white tux?

  4. To clear something up: An all-white tuxedo is not formal at all. "White tie" means a black tailcoat and pants with a low-cut white vest and bow tie. Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot, frankly.

It is never OK for a man to wear an all-white tuxedo, unless he is keen on looking ridiculous. While the classic tuxedo is an outfit suitable for a gentleman, the white tuxedo is a costume, suitable only for the ridiculously flamboyant:

And even Cab Calloway wouldn't wear that to a wedding.

The off-white tuxedo jacket with black pants, on the other hand, is a handsome and classic look, suitable for the warmer months:

Of course, a gentleman would not wear his tuxedo before six o'clock, as it is evening formalwear. If this is a day wedding, a good suit is probably advisable, unless you happen to have a stroller jacket or a morning coat in your closet.

  5. Well, it would be tacky to say the least.

  6. I would say that it is ok for the groom to wear a white tux if he wishes. White tux's can be very classy if done right, just be careful.

  7. Not unless he's the groom, and that's what his bride wants him to wear.  And then if I were the groom, I'd make darned sure it's what she wants him to wear--if you want wedding photos to look dated--wear a white tux.

  8. If he's the groom and the tux is stylish- then of course!

  9. If he's not the groom, then no.  A white tux is the most formal type of tux that a man can wear (even more formal than a black tux) and should ONLY be worn upon request ("white tie reception").

  10. I think classic black is most elegant and mature.  I would never make a man wear a tux of any color......it is just tacky.

  11. umm..if it's 1970. and you're a Bee Gee. Are you a Bee Gee?

  12. ya
