  1. OMG you are sooooooo lucky. As long as your baby is also sleeping during the day then I think all is well. Im jealous.LOL

  2. You are very lucky!

  3. Newborns sleep up to 20-21 hours a day sometimes, it is completely normal.

  4. yes that sounds good. as long as you keep to the routine you will soon find him going 12 hours every night. our 2 daughters both slept from 7pm to 7am no night feed at about 7 weeks. they are 6 and 4 now and still go 7 till 7 every night. keep at it not all parents suffer.

  5. More than ok; sing the hallelujah chorus!! :)

  6. Yes, that is fine - my eldest slept from 10 till 6am from 5 weeks old, then his younger brother liked to wake every 2 hours until he was 8 months! =-0 both perfectly healthy and active lads now x

  7. As long as he keeps gaining weight there's no problem. Enjoy the rest yourself why you can.

  8. At 6 weeks my baby was sleeping about 7 hours without eating.   As long as he's gainaing weight and wetting diapers he's fine.  My doctor also said sleeping for a long period of time shows they are getting enough to eat!  She said some 6-week olds sleep for 12 hours and that isn't even an issue.

  9. Yes that's fine believe me it's better that way than the other. If you had to get up 4 times a night you would be a wreck so enjoy it while it lasts.

  10. Consider yourself lucky. Don't try to change things. Let him sleep and hopefully he will continue that pattern.

  11. My son slept through the night from 3 weeks old, sometimes he'd sleep from 8pm til 10am, he's 20 now and he's perfectly healthy.

  12. Count yourself lucky momma!

  13. New Baby's don't sleep all night, enjoy what yo can get!!

This is a very good Baby you have .. feel blessed..

Most babies learn to sleep all night during the first year. They have to grow big enough to go longer and longer without being fed; a 6-month-old baby may sleep six hours at night before needing to eat. And many babies go back to sleep easily after their nighttime feedings.

Some babies take longer to learn to sleep through the night. Even at two years old, one child out of every five wakes up and cries most nights. The baby's personality may be a factor. Some babies are restless, and they wake easily. Others sleep soundly and for a long time. Others need less sleep, and they wake up very early in the morning.

Waking at night is not considered a problem for families in every part of the world. In some cultures parents don't expect babies to go to sleep alone, or at a certain time or place. But for many parents in our society, it is hard when babies wake up at night. Parents don't get enough sleep, and they aren't free to nap when baby does during the day.

  14. YES!  you are absolutely blessed.  My daughter was like that and she is a happy healthy 11 year old now.  I think your baby is well adjusted and confident.

  15. Yep ... that's awesome!

My oldest did the same thing ... first time it happened, I got scared to death!  But she was fine, and she always DID sleep straight through forever afterward!

    Hope you're that lucky, too!

  16. At six weeks old, my son started sleeping about six hours straight, just like you describe.  My daughter, unfortunately, didn't sleep like that until she was over a year old.

Count yourself lucky, and get all the sleep you can.

    And . . . congratulations!

  17. That's awesome - all my babies did this by 2-3 weeks, so yours is just fine! Congrats!!!

  22. Not only is that okay - it's a wonderful situation.  Just don't expect it to last.  His sleep schedule will change from time to time for a while to come.

  23. YES, and I'm so jealous!!  What do you feed him, and how much of it?  My son is 4-1/2 weeks old and last night was the first time I got him to go 5 hours between feedings, so it was more like 4 or so hours of sleep between...I'm jealous!

  24. consider yourself lucky he sleeps that long. youve got a good manored baby.

  25. yer i'd say so,he's just a lazy baby! If he wanted any more feeds he'd soon let you know!u'r lucky my daughter woke every 2.5 hours!

  30. OK?  That's fantastic!  My 7 week old wakes 3 times a night then feeds solidly from 7am to 11.30am before crashing for the afternoon then feeding from 5-10pm to give him plenty of energy for waking up at night!

  31. If he's gaining weight according to how he should, yes it's fine.  If he isn't, you need to wake him to feed.
