  1. Well Why Would It Be Bad?  This Is A Intresting Question. I Plan To Be Cremated When I Die. And I Love The Movie Elizabeth Town So I Guess It Kinda Has To Do With That.

  2. Yes, when you're dead. Personally, I feel it doesn't really matter. Whichever way, we're just a dead body.... what happens to our soul is more important!

  3. As if the created person gives a rats patoot...

  4. I think so, but it's a personal decision. I don't think I will be cremated, but, like I said, it's up to you. And like asleepypup said, only if you're dead. ;)

  5. I believe that cremation is okay, as long as that's what you really want.

Cremation has been going on for a loooong time...so I'm guessing that it's been okay.

It's the same as being buried, in my opinion.

  6. UK answer.

Yes it is, lots of people prefer this method of disposal. Here in Nottingham  in the UK the first cremation took place at the Wilford Hill cemetery in March 1919.

    Hope this helps.

  7. Certainly, if that's what you wish. Some have no choice.

Two members of my family have been cremated. I intend to be. I doubt what I want done with my ashes will be carried out, but maybe my daughter will have kids who are crazy enough to do it (she'd be crazy enough to do it, but she'd need help).

  8. Do you mean religiously? Morly? Ethically? I don't think It matters either way. I believe weather your rotting, burned or frozen it doesn't matter it's all the same. It's just a shell. ( If you are religious)

  9. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. I'm sure it is ok. My brother and sister were both cremated, but if you are at all religious, I just watched a show on the End Times signs and it said something about when Jesus returns for the rapture, all Christians will rise up out of their graves to meet him in the sky -- it didn't say anything about those who were cremated and without graves. I guess no one really knows, right. It's your call.

  10. yeah! all my family members that have passed have been cremated... i dont personally find a problem with it...

  11. The Roman Catholic Church permits cremation so long as "it is not chosen as a denial of faith of the resurrection of the body."   In the United States, 30 percent of Roman Catholics chose cremation while the national average for cremation is 28.6 percent.  Orthodox Judiasm prohibits cremation as does Islam; however, some Reform Jewish web sites actually recommend it or claim it can be an option for a religious Jew. US cremation rates are expected to rise to 43 percent by 2025 most probably because of the cost of burial.  In the United Kingdom, cremation rates are 70 percent, although there has been a  renewed interest in burial.

Families choose cremation for their loved ones' remains primarily because it is much less expensive--about 1/3 the cost of burial:  US statistics for the latest year available (1997) show that about a decade ago cremation cost $600 to $900 while a burial plot cost between $3000 and $4000.  In the UK, cremation costs 200 to 300 pounds while burial cost 600 to 800 pounds.

  12. i sure hope so, my husband and i both have had many family members who chose to be cremated, and we both intend on being cremated... eventually.

  13. Haha @asleepyp

    I agree, it's fine if you're dead. :P

    Otherwise, ow!

  14. not if you're Jewish, otherwise you can if you want.

  15. of course.. its a personel preference, and sometimes its better because of how you died. like my friends dad died in a car accident and the vehicle caught on fire, so he was cremated

  16. well its ok but i would prefer to be burried. but if you dont want to be put in the earth then you can be cremated

  17. I hope it is. That's what I got planned.

  18. yes, ashes to ashes, dust to dust....that's about all you need right there

  19. Have a word with your family.

When the time comes, it won't matter to you but it may to them.

Cremation is very "final" in that it gives grieving friends and relatives nothing to hold on to, and no way to let go slowly.

Surviving family members sometimes find it easier if they have a grave to visit, flowers to take, somewhere to "talk to" through the grieving process which can take years (or never).

I regret that my father had my mother cremated leaving me with nothing just a very empty space in my life.

  20. the catholic church was only one that i think said it wasn't ok. well they have let it go now and you can be creamated. so go for it its ok now. they figured destroying the body is wrong but you know what we have really no need of the body and the people made those decisions not God. so therefore they finally got rid of it along time agoa.

  21. Only as long has the party being cremated is already dead.

  22. I THINK SO... I WANT TO BE SPRINKLED AT MY FAVORITE FISHING SPOT........

  23. I think that the cremation is practiced by many culture already, and   its use may depends on believe and religions. I would like to say, above all these cultural believes cremation is very beneficial for environment in many ways.

  24. Of course I mean would you rather be spread over anyplace you like or be eaten in some rusty coffin by worms?

  25. I believe that that decision is all your own..

Based on your beliefs and economic situation, cremation can be a option if your financial situation is not secure. It's been a tradition in my family to be laid to rest as if one were sleeping...My mother told me not to cremate her because she did not want to risk the rewards or feel the pain if any... So go figure

when your dead your not conscious of anything.

  26. Yes..I don't think people realise that when you buy a burial plot you only own it for 99 years and after that they dig you up, and cremate the remains anyways and resell the your burial plot to someone else!

  27. I believe it is. Its all in how you believe. Its not wrong, just different. My oldest boy passed away 5 years ago this past January at age 22 years. He was cremated. It is just how some people want to go. I see nothing wrong with it.

  28. of course it is. there is nothing wrong with that if its what you beleive in. personaly i would never want to be cremated, but i think its fine if thats what you want

  29. Yes, "c d", it's not good to be cremated while you're alive.

  30. yea.. i guess i mean it would be better to be buried.. isntead of turning into ashes

  31. if thats what your wishes are then nothing is wrong with it, i would make sure i have a will and talk it over with my loved ones  so its not  a shock  to  them
