Is it OK to compost coffee filters?

I know coffee grounds can be composted but can I just throw the whole filter in too?

I do, I also compost most of the paper that goes thru my shreader. The worms in my compost pile eat the stuff up.

Yes, you can.  You might want to consider unbleached or all-natural coffee filters, but even if you just use regular, it shouldn't do any harm.  Happy composting!

Yes, filtres are of little value as compost, but of no harm either.
