I'm talking clean, not wholly underwear. Is this appropriate and/or accepted?

  1. gawd no thats gross

  2. DEFINATELY!

I mean who cares if the underwears a little dirty... as long as the poo stains or coloured marks aren't noticable from a far distance!

Wear on! Come on, people... don't be so uptight!

  3. give to goodwill..

  4. underwear really isnt neccessary

  5. who cares. some people do not even have underwear. it is better than nothing. so why just throw it out when someone else could use it. people here do not even think about the people in foreign countries who walk around naked and eat dirt cakes because there is nothing else.

  6. Yes if they need it they'll be grateful.

  7. i dont think soo  but it is nice of u to think about them :P

  8. No, I wouldn't think so.

  9. "gently used" what the h**l does that mean. Give them the undies with the skid marks.

  10. no, that is just disgusting.

    and very inappropriate

  11. no

  12. Really, in stores u r not allowed to try on underwear in changing rooms for a reason. to get to the point i believe that its ok to donate underwear but i wouldnt recommend it. only give it to the really desperate. i mean u only lightly used it right?

  13. YES YES YES!!! I worked in a homeless shelter for 5 years and there was NEVER enough underwear to give to the clients. We would give away 2nd hand underwear when we didn't have brand new ones.As long as it is clean and without holes or stains, it is perfectly acceptable.

I've seen people even stealing used dirty underwear because they needed it so bad.

FYI. A lot of shelters wash their donations in heavy duty washing machines with bleach and it kills any possible germs.

  14. No...no matter how much you wash them...wearing someone else's underwear is un-hygenic

  15. I would say no... underwear is something that should not be donated.

But then again, I don't need underwear so can I honestly answer?

I can understand that you dont want to just toss out perfectly good panties...but I wouldnt wear used underwear.

  16. No.  Used underwear is still used.  Underwear is cheap - just go buy a few packs and donate new ones.

  17. Yes, nice clean undies are much appreciated at shelters for the homeless & for victims of domestic violence.  My local women's shelter always has a shortage of plus-sized underwear.  They are always in need of children's sizes, too.  Before I was so heavily involved in The Shoebox Project, I made extra-nice undies to donate.  Now I just buy extra pkgs for the shelter when they are on sale.

Thanks for thinking of those in need!

  18. Well that's nice of you to think of others, but someone could then take that to the limit and donate underwear that's been used way too many times.

You know they're gently used, but are you sure random strangers can trust you..

  19. NO! No one wants skid marked underwear!

  20. If they aren't holey or all spotty or anything, and they look BRAND NEW then it'd probably be ok. I know i've donated underwear that were only worn like once max to goodwill, but they looked brand new.

  21. It might not be the best idea. There could be infections and stuff spreading, so it doesn't sound good. With the holed up underwear, I use it as a rag to clean.

  22. very much so. in fact you could sell them on e bay... and after reading some of these answers, all of you better hope you don't get arrested and sent to county jail. i'd hate to tell you who's underwear you might be wearing!
