Is it OK to lie about my race?

Question

I'm White but I naturally look very Eurasian and a lot of people assume that I'm mixed race. I'm not ashamed of being White but I think it's kind of cool to be Asian and exotic. Is it okay if I let people believe that I'm half Asian? Would it make me a terrible person?

Personally, I don't really think it matters, because I did the same thing, kinda.

I'm Mexican, but a very light toned one.

When I moved to where I live now, many people thought I was White, and since it was an all White school, I let them believe it.

But then I got over it.

I'd rather have people like me for what I am than what I'm not.

I tell people I'm like part Asian and Dominican and Indian all the time even though I'm only black though

it's not so bad but if people fing out they might get a little upset knowing that you  were lieing to them or if they fingd out just explain to them why you did that or something but for the most part it's not to bad

I think it's rude that people even care what race you are. It doesn't matter.

I'm a fan of anime, and since I have dark hair and eyes, people have asked if I'm part Asian. I admit to being white =)

Just say you're white but look Eurasian or something. You shouldn't pretend you're something you're not, whoever you're telling might see you as a fake person.

I think you should just tell people your white, because I'm black, and people think I'm Chinese, because of my last name, and my eyes are slightly slanted, but my parents look black, and I think people put too much emphasis on being mixed, and I'm not like that so claim what your are, because if you don't then you are lying about not only yourself, but your heritage...

I guess there's nothing wrong with that. Although I wouldn't lie to my boyfriend/girlfriend about it because things might get serious and down the road it might cause unusually big problems if they find out you lied.
