Question:

Is it OK to put Aloe on a very painful and burning hemorriod?

nothing else is helping, witch hazel, cortizone cream or preparation HELP. (this is NOT a joke, no nasty answers please!!) Or do you know if a pharmacy sells lidocaine or some type of numbing cream to help ease the pain?

  1. Most pharmacies will sell products like lidocaine, benzocaine, nupercainel, etc over the counter.  I don't know if Aloe will help, but it certainly won't hurt!  Try sitting in a sitz bath with epsom salts 2-3 times a day....that should help make you more comfortable.


  2. Aloe is very safe because it is all natural.  I have 2 big aloe plants and those poor things get used for everything, but I love it because it does work.  It won't hurt to try and there should be no burning when you put it on.  I hope you feel better soon.
