  1. Invite everyone you know.  You get more presents that way.

  2. if you don't really know them, then don't invite them because you won't miss them,  if their not there will you

  3. yes absoloutly this is your day

  4. I think it depends on your family. Sometimes you have to be sensitive about this stuff. Rather go smaller than larger - it's easier to justify. "We're having a small wedding, we can't afford 300 guests". People will be okay with that.

Do what you feel comfortable with, it's your wedding. The last thing you want is to regret inviting relatives you don't know/like in lieu of someone you really wanted to be there.

    Good luck!

  5. I was on a "B-list" one time. The bride called me about a month before the wedding saying she didn't get my RSVP so she wanted to check with me. I never got the invitation so she just asked if I could come, gave me the details and asked what I wanted to eat. I didn't think much of this, she said the invite must have gotten lost in the mail and I was okay with that. However, at dinner I found out that NONE of the mis-mosh of people at our table had gotten an invitation, all of us had rec'd a call from the bride a month earlier asking why she didn't get our RSVP. Seemed a bit shady and we chalked it up to being "B-listed" and later a bridesmaid told me that we were truly NOT on the original list (she and I are close so I know she was being honest). Nice feeling.

But if you want to have a B list, go for it. Just don't let anyone find out.

  6. that would naturally depend on your budget.. but it is your wedding anyway so you have the hold on whom to invite or not..
