I want to put antibiotic medicine for a toothache in an envelop and mail to my sister who is now stuying in California. I'm not sure whether it is legal to the Customs or there is anything wrong with it. People who knows about it, please feel free to add comments. Thank you.

  1. Prescriptions drugs can be mailed within the U.S. but not from another country, customs says it's for our safety. Customs trys to check all mail comming in but some do get through.

  2. It should be fine.  I wouldn't think twice about doing it

  3. There is increased Customs enforcement for the importation of pharmaceuticals from abroad.  If the item is discovered by U.S. customs, it will likely be confiscated.

  4. No, it's not legal to distribute antibiotics without a prescription in the U.S.
