Is it OK to use mint from my garden in cooking, even thought it has started flowering?!?

  4. yes it is ok if not the best to use the leaves and flowers in cooking also the flowers make a nice garnish

    I only really use the newish growth which I think is nicer and also keeps the plant in check.

  7. yes you can use them, but i advise you to pinch the flower heads off to make your plant grow thicker, then you will have lots more leaves on it to make more mint sauce.
