I'm preparing for a half-marathon and i want to do track workouts.

Now, I just moved from México a while ago, so I don't know if i can just walk in and use the school tracks.

Thanks for the help!

  1. Mexico huh, way cool! Are you in Arizona now? Yes to answer you question you can run on any public school track. By law they have to leave one lane open to the public at all times! If your working out for a half marathon (good luck by the way!) Tracks are always great to work out on but make sure you hit the streets to balance yourself out. Oh also really try and run hills they do miracles for your legs!

  2. Yes public school track are public property

  3. I'm pretty sure you can, i always see people walking around on our track field.

  4. Yes, but if school is currently in session, you must get a visitor's tag from the main office.

Go to the nearest High School track and see what the sign on the gate says. Usually after 4pm they are totally open to the public and you won't have to sign in.

  5. I'm pretty sure they are.

But if you could go into the school and ask someone.

    Good luck with your marathon!
