Is it OK to use the AM radio after noon?

I listen to AM in the PM...why is the radio catergorized as AM and PM and not something else like news and music...

Guess that's a new type of radio never had a AM / PM radio set.

AM = amplitude modulation

FM = frequency modulation

Radio is AM and FM.  They stand for Amplitude Modulation (AM) and Frequency Modulation (FM).  AM and PM in the time of day is the abbreviation of some Latin phrases.  Ante Meridiem (AM) and Post Meridiem (PM) are the exact phases and the mean pre and past noon.
