  1. okay water is not good for your contacts.

ONLY use water for an emergency, say if your contact was bothering you, you take it out to fix it but it becomes dry and you don't have any solution with you.

put a little drop of water and it should be fine, but i do not reccomend it

always carry a little bottle of solution with you everywhere you go

  2. NO! You cant use water or anything on your contacts, except solution and eye drops that are meant for contact lenses.

And if youre camping, thats fine, but im sure it would be better to use hand sanitizer afterwards!

  3. Yes, baby wipes would be ok, as long as your hands are very clean is the main objective.

But...using water on your contacts is a big no no.

If you don't have the proper solutions with you, then wear your glasses.

Water is full of bacteria that will give you infections.

  4. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

    Wear your glasses

  5. um... when i get water in my contacts, it feels all grubby and sore.  if youre camping, i would just use your glasses.

  6. You can use water.  The contact solution is used to remove buildup on your contacts.

Second part; you can use the baby wipes on your hands to remove dirt and what not on your hands, but it will probably cause your eyes to burn.  If you cannot immediately put your lenses back in, you can hold them in your mouth until you are able to put them in.  The saliva in your mouth keeps the lenses from drying out.  Then without water they will be moist enough to place back in your eye.  Again burning may result and probably will result.  If the lenses are not clean or if there is something on your fingers... your eyes will burn and water a lot anyway.

  7. Distilled water is okay.  Tap (faucet) water contain minerals that could be harmful to the lenses.  In emergencies (no water), you can use spitle, but it would be better to wait until you can locate some water.  Wherever you go, take a bottle of cleaning solution with you.  Travel sizes are available at drug stores.
