  1. I wash mine tied up in a pillowcase with like colors using the gentle cycle and cold water.  When the wash cycle is done, remove and hang to dry.

  2. Yes you can if you have a delicate or hand wash cycle on your machine.  Use mild soap and little of it.

Hang to dry.  (the spin cycle and agitation of the washer may loosen the nylon/spandex, that is why hand washing is best.  I have a hand wash cycle that just barely turns the agitator every 5 minutes so I don't have to.)

  3. Yes, I do it all the time.  Don't use bleach though.  You do need to rinse it out every time you swim in a chlorinated pool too though.  The chlorine will kill the elasticity & the color.

  4. Wash it with towels- beach towels or something soft and fluffy of the same color. I wash my family's swim suits all the time! Follow the care tags. I wash mine with a small amount of detergent in warm water. Try the gentle cycle if your suit has beading or anything on it. Dry it on low heat or lay to dry.

  5. YES IF YOU HAVE A DELICATE CYCLE

  6. I wash mine on the "hand washable" setting with cold water and I only use Woolite since it won't damage the fibers.  Always line dry.  Never had a problem.

Oh, I forgot...I put it in a pillow case or a delicates bag that you can buy at the market.  Never wash it with anything that has buttons or hooks as these can catch on the suit.

  7. if there is ANYTHING rough in the washing machine, the nylon  or the spandex can catch on it - which could be a small snag, or could totally ruin the suit.

some places selll net bads for washing silk, or negligees or delicates.

BUT, what works even better than that is a white cotton pillow case.

you throw the bathing suit in the pillowcase, i seal mine by wrapping a rubber band around the open part of the pillow case several times.

that way you can wash the bathing suit on either a normal or delicate cycle.   i promise the water and detergent do get inside  the pillowcase.

  8. Spandex can by damaged by temperates above 105 F., so cool or warm water only.  Mild detergent, NO chlorine.  Hang to dry.
