  1. No. They should stay with their mother for two more weeks.

  2. Kittens removed from their mother to early can develop OCD behaviors. There is more to mothering than eating and cat box training. The suckling is a emotional need as well as a food source. Mom will wean them when they are ready. You will know when she is weaning them. You can get them new homes at that time.

  3. No i think you should wait like a month, but if you have the mom you could put them up for adoption with the mom.

  4. no 8 weeks is ideal but i usually wait til 10 just to be safe no reason to rush let them be with there mom as long as possible that is best for a kitten

  5. I think it would be fine> I got my kitten at 6 and half weeks old and he's doing just fine!

  6. Well, usually kittens need to be at least 8 weeks old. You can put them up for adoption, and choose the new owner and all that but dont actually GIVE them until 8 weeks old. You should try to put them on petfinder.com

or maybe give them to a well respected shelter

or put an add in the paper. however dont give them to just anyone.

interview them and maybe check out their home. make sure ur giving them to a great family

  7. The recommended age for taking kittens away from their mother is 8 weeks. I personally would adopt a kitten at around 10 weeks.

Remember that taking a kitten away from it's litter and mother too early can bring on behavioural problems later in life.

Good luck with your little ones!

  8. As long as the kittens can go the bathroom by themselves and lap up food they will be fine. I have been giving people stray kittens Ive nursed at 4 weeks old and they are great cats. I've have 2 that I have had since a week old, but I had to nurse them and wipe their bottoms. Only suggestion if you do decide to give them away suggest to whoever takes them that Wal-mart has a cheap milk replacement that would help them grow to be healthy cats. You can pour it right on their food.

  9. NO... it isn't' just about eating solid food and pottying in the box. They learn how to be social, how to play, how to "fight" and so much more from their litter mates and mom. Age 6 weeks to 9 weeks is a very important time. I have three cats, one I got at 6 weeks, one at 8 weeks, and one at 10 weeks. (all adults now) 6 week one still claws at everything to "knead" into it, the 8 week one has a few accidents now and then and meows if left outside of the bedroom at night and the one I got at 10 weeks is so well adjusted and independent. She is so easy compared to the others!

  10. 'The age recomended for taking kittens away from there mother is 8 weeks at least. They are still depending on there moms to stay alive right now, dont ruin that.

  11. Not quite yet. As others have said, kittens need to be at a minimum of 8 weeks old to go to their forever home, and 12 weeks would be the ideal age. At 6 weeks, your kittens still need to brush up on their kitty manners, which they can only learn from mom cat and littermates. An attack on mom's tail or biting mom  will get a stare and a paw swipe from her (teaching kitty not to attack tails or bite!) When a kitten play rough, other kittens will not want to play with him/her (teaching kittens rough play equals to the stop of fun time!) and many other essential skills can only be learn through imitation and observations.

So, since you have been taking good care of them now, just be a little patience and allow them to socialize more with humans and their littermates. When it is time to let them go, they will be more ready to face the world. In fact, you will be doing their new parents a huge favor in making sure they are a joy to have! So, let them graduate and then whisk them away on new adventures! Good Luck!
