  1. ?

    i dont think so...

ive been wondering that myself but thought.. na

  2. saw a video where someone did this.

however it was vista... and it ran incredibly slow.

  3. Yes, but apparently it runs poorly.

  4. Windows is not possible because of a different processor architecture, but Linux will. Yellow Dog Linux even sells a kit to install linux on the PS3. Go here: http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/produc...

  5. yes

  6. Yes it can be done. No you don't want to do it. Just a week or two ago a guy hacked a copy of windows on his PS3. It takes almost 15 minutes to boot up, and another 5 or 10 just to open things like Notepad or Solitaire. Windows is not made to run on the Cell processor, and the Cell processor is not meant to run Windows. The Install OS option is actually for a Linux operating system. The newer Linux cores were written to take use of the Cell Processors multi core environment (6 out of 7 units I believe). If you really want an OS on your box go that route.

I don't own a PS3 so I can't comment on how it works, but I try to stay up to date on the tech, and generally users seem happy. Google around a bit and I am sure you can find how to do it.
