  1. Shouldn't be a problem

  2. As long as he is Neutered, then yes it would be safe! Why not get your female Spayed too? It will eliminate the possibility of her getting pregnant, when she goes into heat, by another intact male, who will do anything he has to, to get to her, and will be able to smell her, from 5 miles away, it will decrease the chances of her getting certain types of Cancer, and she will be a lot healthier in the long run, unlong with your male being healthier because being that he is already Neutered, you have already cut down on the chances, of him getting Testicular Cancer!

  3. Its reasonably safe..  dogs will be dogs and fights over toys and food happen with any s*x, but with proper training they can live together as safely as with any other pairing.

The male may still attempt to mate with her when she's in heat tho.  He wont get her pregnant, but there's always a risk for a fight or for the dogs to injure themselves if they are both inexperienced.

  4. Yes, we do the same thing. I have a male Corgi/Jack Russel mix who has been fixed, in our fence with a female Chihuahua who hasn't and they do good together. But they say if they are fixed they can live longer and less health problems, so I don't know it's up to you.

  5. it's common for M dogs to continue to mount -

and as they will be in the same yard, if she does not WANT to be mounted, she may start a serious fight in her own defense.

    so...

if U don't mind paying for stitches, it's safe for U.

(shrug)  not for Ur wallet - but for U!   ;-)

it is not however safe for the dogs...

the F will attract suitors, who may fight outside the fence, go over, under or thru the fence, fight with or upset Ur M dog, each other,

    etc.

dogs CAN breed right thru cyclone fencing -

    --------------------------------------...

so do not assume that she cannot get preg.

also, >> if << she were tied to another M thru the fence, the M dog on her side of the fence, unable to reach the M intruder, might attack her - possibly fatally.  once tied, she cannot possibly defend herself.

with every estrus, there is the ever-present risk of pregnancy,

and STDs; plus her cancer-risk goes up with each heat.

and if Ur M dog mounts her, her chances of uterine infection, which can easily be life-threatening or fatal, are very much enhanced.

a closed uterine-infection can be fatal in 48 to 72 hours, and

with a uterus, it is a constant possibility - without a uterus?

    ZERO pyometra.

    do the math...

and do the right thing, please.

    :-)

  6. You know, I think there are other health benefits to getting her fixed. You might want to check on that. Also, when she is in heat she'll get blood everywhere. Take care.

  7. yeah, the female won't get pregnant.

  8. ABSOLUTELY

No harm there as long as they get along.

    Good luck and god bless

  9. you might see them doing some "doggie business" because sometimes males/ females still do that after they are fixed; however, you won't have any puppies on your hands.

  10. No it wont be a problem at all, you might want to get the female fixed so she doesnt get pregnate by accident from another dog, unless your going to breed her.

  11. A fixed male dog will be fine with an unfixed female, but you should always have females spayed. You might think she'll be isolated, but male dogs will go to great lengths to get to a female in heat. If you leave her intact I can almost guarantee that you'll eventually have at least one unexpected litter.
