Friends,

I have bought Kenda Telonic (DTC) 2.20 Tire for my bike however I forgot that my existing Rim is for 1.95 Tire (it shows in the rim sticker).

Is it save to use 1.95 Rim combine 2.20 Tire ? Should I change ?

Is there any restriction on riding style if I keep using 1.95 & 2.20 combination ?

  1. You should be fine.

  2. Yes, as long as the tire doesn't rub the frame of your bike, you can go more or less as wide as you want. The 1.95/2.20 refers the the width of the tire and even that isn't an exact number.  One manufacturers 1.95 might be the same as anothers 2.10.

  3. my rim is for 1.90 and today i put a 2.30 specialized chunder, so u'll be fine!
