  1. Well the answer is yes, because Tibet is part of Chinas lands at the moment.

BTW which Tibet did you mean, Tibet (TAR) or greater Tibet.

  2. FOR THE LAST TIME,  tibet is part of china. what freedom for them? don't tell me hawaii also wants freedom from the USA? this is getting more and more ridiculous.

  3. The beijing summer olympics is the time when the whole world's spotlight is on China. Because of the timing of the olympics and the popular media coverage along with it, some people wanted to use this chance to make the voice be heard to "break away" and gain independence.

FACTS: The western media have given a distorted coverage on the Tibetan riot problem. It made the problem appeared like the chinese government were sending in troops tyrannizing and persecuting tibetans rather than sending in troops to put out a riot that disrupts civil order that might eventually "lead to secession". Such riots that disrupts civil order is *breaking the law*, and any country have the rights to put out such riots because all countries have the *rights* over matters with their *internal affairs*.

Because of these distorted coverages by the western media and people's lack of historical knowledge regarding the Tibetan/China issue. People in the west received biased coverage by the media on China, on the Chinese government, and thus, the overall issue and automatically assumed this was about the Chinese goverment persecuting the Tibetan people. When in reality this is about chinese gov't putting out a large scale riot that have caused civil disrupts that might eventually lead to seccession. This distorted portrayal/coverage by the media and the lack of knowledge on the issue had created "a snowball effect" in the west where more and more people "followed the sheep herd" to join a protest over something that had no basis to begin with. The distorted coverage regarding China by the western media, people's lack of knowledge regarding Tibetan/Chinese history, and the snowball effect by the protestor's fanaticism is the main cause of this olympic controversy.

The imagery : "China's record of past human rights abuse" was an instrument created and falsely(overly exaggerated) portrayed by the western media became a sharp contrast to the *real human rights abuses (1 million civilian lives lost and countless interrogation methods inside detainee camps) that went behind the Iraq war was by-and-large gone unnoticed in the eyes of the American public. Bear in mind these human rights abuse that China have been accused of also happens in western countries.

HISTORICAL FACTS: China did not occupy Tibet. If you know Chinese/Tibetan history, then you will know China has the right over Tibet, [but giving Tibet it's autonomy],

Tibet was originally a *tributary state* to the Qing Dynasty, China, under the request of it's head lama. The current PRC of China is the legitmate inheritant of the last dynasty of China. Thus, what happened in the 1950's is not occupation, but it's securing its own territory, the original map of Qing (the last dynasty of China].

China has *legitimacy* over Tibet, but Tibet has the right to autonomy, thus it is called "Tibetan Autonomous Region" on the map.

Tibet can have autonomy; but not independence. Tibet is a part of China. China have fulfilled it's promise as previously made [in history] to provide economic support, protection, and development to Tibet. Acts of secession is considered breaking the law in any country in this world.

*The difference between a Chinese Tributary state and a colony is that the host state must provide development and support for the tributary and it's subjects retain their dignity, are treated as equal, as opposed to, a colony where its subjects are exploited.

This whole riot is about a large scale unrest that was *provoked* for secession.

It is time for these protests to stop, because the protestors have no basis for their protests and they don't "really" know what they are protesting about to begin with.
