  1. Yes it s a great change.   Not only does it give fans a chance to see more teams each year, but it gives teams in a tough division to get some easier matchups while strong teams in weak divisions will not get such a huge boost in the standings from all the easy games (2006 Red Wings).

It also allows the NHL to showcase the league's biggest names, Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin, to the western fans more, bringing more people to games.

  2. yea i think its good because now teams will get more chances to play and get used to teams from different conferences. now that the western and eastern teams play each other now i think it will change the league a little.

  3. It's true.  I like it.  It gives the game a chance to showcase more Eastern talent in the Western venues, and likewise, the Western talent in the East.

  4. I love it. I am a toronto fan and we barley get to play familer origonal six teams in the west any more

  5. Yeah, that's an awesome change.

  6. yes, that will spice things up.

  7. Ya. thats one rule change that i think i will like. It will be nice to see how my team faces off against teams they rarely play. Its better i think because instead of playing the division teams 8 times they only play division teams 6 times.

  8. Your friend is correct.  All teams will face each other at least once.  I agree that it is a step in the right direction, however I would have preferred to see each team twice, once at home and once away.  I am not complaining though, at least it's a step in the right direction.

  9. I haven't heard it, but I've been focusing on basketball for now..

    I'd like it.

  10. I love it, but they did it kind of awhile ago, and let's face it it was a pretty obvious that all teams should play each other at least once.

  11. Scheduling isn't a rule, it's simply scheduling.  And what is so incredible about it?

Prior to the lockout every team played each team at least once a year.

In two years they will review the schedule again.
