I have a Kennedy half that I have "hung onto" for quite some time. Many yrs. back I found a 1971 Kennedy half while going thru boxes of halves. It has a "head shot" & on reverse has an Eagle "head/heart shot". It has a dimple in the head and the eagle's head and heart. It is a 1971 D and in pretty good shape. The dimple in the "head shot" bulges the other side, and the keart shot bulges the opposite side etc... I have looked at it under microscope and I also do not believe it was someone with too much time on their hands because of the appearance etc... I sent this question to someone and was told, that since there has never been anything recorded like this it must not be real, and they would give me face value. Of course I did not sell the coin to them. Well, there always has to be a "first" time for a documented error.
Thank you for your time,
Brenda Brown
