Is it a bad idea to feed my snake a pregnant rat?

i fed my rtb a rat and i think it was prego or just fat...will it make her sick if it was prego?

I doubt it will rip its way out like in Alien.  Should be fine (for the snake anyway).

Your snake should be fine. The babies would have died soon after the mom died anyway. The only thing you did was prolong your snake's digestion process. That should be a very happy snake.

The answer is no.  It's actually a more nutritious meal.

But, onto other topics/issues - are you feeding live prey items, and if so?  Why?  A live animal can injure your snake resulting in scars; fear of the food item; and/or difficulty with future sheds.

Be a responsible pet owner.  Ask your reptile vet for their opinion concerning this issue.
