I really want to do do history rather than maths but is that a bad idea. I want to do History, Biology, Chemistry and physics.

  1. Well, I managed to do it, but I had to take extra classes in 'Maths for science' to make up.

  2. So much of physics relies on a good understanding of maths you'd be at a serious disadvantage if you didn't do it. Keep history as a hobby or do it later.

  3. I think what u have done is ok and there is no need 4 extra math lessons.   = )

  4. Actually, I  think it's fine. Most universities will think it's suitable as long as you have more than one science, so go ahead and take History- there's no point in forcing yourself to do a subject you don't really want to. Plus History will make you more well rounded and show you have essay writing skills. I think you should talk to your personal tutor about it first of all though and they'll help you with your final decision.

  5.   I think it is.

The Physics A level does require some mathematical effort and further study definitely requires great mathematical understanding.

So if you plan to go further than A level with Physics in mind definitely take it.

  6. Not at all. I took and passed physics and biology at A level but couldn't even pass an O level in maths.

  7. You should continue to take your mathematics. It unclear if you want to take all four sciences in one year or in four years. Mathematics a foundation of sciences.
