  1. Keep in mind that many European countries will be very cold over Christmas. But there are several advantages to traveling then.

First, transatlantic flights will be much cheaper. Flights are VERY expensive over the summer. In the off season flights can be half of the price.

Second, there are many really cool christmas markets and christmas decorations in many cities.

Third, you will avoid the crowds.

But, yes, with the current economic mess the US is in, it will be a very long time until the value of the dollar recovers enough to make Europe a bargain. But the good thing is that there are lots of opportunities to find travel bargains in the off season. One way to do this is to use discount airlines (such as Easy Jet or Ryan Air).

  2. to be honest with you you will find it very expensive here, not only because of the dollar euro relationship but because its generally more expensive.....

however don't feel that you should wait, coz you might have to wait a very very long time before the dollar will rise again, it looks like it won't get better soon......

so come to europe and enjoy it, it may be expensive but its also absolutely beautiful!
