Is it a benefit for female divers to be tall?

I was watching the olympic trials... most of the women look VERY tall. Is that a good thing in diving?

  1. Diving is very much like gymnastics. It is NOT an advantage to be tall in either one of those sports. The smaller you are, the easier it is to spin.

    You might want to check athlete stats -- I don't think the women are as tall as you think they are. For example, this is from Laura Wilkinson's website:

    "Height: 5'6" (yes, I look taller on tv!)"


  2. not rlly, being short actually has a bit more of an advantage. But being tall does too, it makes you appear more graceful.
