  1. Shop anywhere but Walmart.

  2. As for general prices, Wal-Mart is cheaper. But quality wise, the brands are the mostly the same, but Wal-Mart produce is just gross.

  3. Watch the sales ads from Kroger and other local stores.  Find the best deals out there, and clip coupons in the Sunday paper.  I hate WalMart, but my town is small and there's only three grocery stores here.  WM, a Metro and a Save a lot (aldi's).  They don't offer much.  WM doesn't have sales like the other stores do.  Compare prices when ever you are out.

I try to do my shopping with sales ads and coupons to save as much as I can.

  4. Many variables - depends on what you are shopping for and the proximity of the stores. Coupon clipping is good, but it is not cost effective (with today's gas prices) to drive clear across town to save $0.05. So you  won't save anything by driving all around town just to take advantage of the cents off coupons.

And once you become familiar with the layout of the stores, you will be able to find what you want.

And, remember that generic brands, and store brands offer the same quality as name brands at lesser cost. So once again, buying a name brand with coupon may still be more expensive than store brand.

  5. It depends.   Walmart definately has great prices on food.   sometimes a grocery may have a better deal on sale items.   For items that are not on sale at the grocery then Walmart would be the better choice.
