If you can't tell, I'm not happy and can't believe they weren't booed that badly. What restraint. Maybe they'll get 'reeducated' after the US bounces their *** out of the tournament.

  1. who hasnt done that at least once?

  2. These Spanish apes look like idiots in this pic. No, trying to look Asian does not make these idiots any less ape-like.

  3. it sure is classless and racist, but theyre known for being racist, just look at european soccer.

imagine what wouldve happened had they been poking fun at blacks instead, it wouldve been a huge deal had that happened.

the olympics are supposed to be about sportsmanship and clean competition between countries and obviously they went away from that.  it was shocking to see calderon and gasol doing it also, since you wouldnt think of those players being like that, especially when gasol now has a chinese teammate.

if youve watched some european soccer games, they are straight up racists towards black players, even if theyre possibly the best player in the world.

  4. They are racists whiny floppers i wish china woulda beat them i have lost respect for every member of that team...Chinese fans shoulda gave them h**l evefrytime they touched the ball

  5. who cares? I mean really...

  6. You think this isn't racism? You think people will get over it? Its not about blending in, or you "think" that they are point at the minds saying "Think". Its about how the viewers feel about this. Their sponsor didn't force them to do that add, the team could have/had the choice to either do it, or not. Some people may not care about this ad, but how about the people who are offended by this? This ad offends the people who well respects the Spanish. What have they've done to the Spanish for this ad to be out? This ad isn't racist only against the Chinese, but its also racist against and other Asian races. Does it look like they are making a affectionate wink? Most of the viewers know what they are doing, so is this ad racist? Yes it is, since most of the people have found out about this ad, the Spanish team didn't say anything that the viewers thought wrong about what they did. Did the team ever thought about what others would feel? The team knew what they did, and so does the viewers.

  7. i dont really matter cuz there not gunna b in the tournament 4 any longer

  8. They just showed the whole world how immature and classless they are. They should have been fined by the olympic commitee for racist gestures. Hope they get their butts kicked by the US. Lose by 80

  9. That is a staged shot. I am certain the players did not mean any harm or ill will. My guess is the photographer and art director as well as team officials thought they were making a polite reference to the team being on it's way to China. I think we are misinterpreting it and or reading into something far deeper hen it was ever intended.

  10. People need to lighten up.  If you care when people do such things, then the issue is with you and your own sensitivity and insecurity about your heritage.

  11. Who cares.

  12. As a Chinese American living in the U.S., I had people making this gesture to me many times, especially in middle school.  It had effected me deeply and I am still experiencing nightmares to this day. It almost made me ashamed of my own race, but now I am proud of who I am.

Olympics is suppose to bring people together and let us embrace diversity. Hopefully the Spanish team learn from their mistakes.
