Obama's mentor being a socialist.  The first thing Obama did once becoming a State Senator was to redraw the district map so that he had a chunk of Downtown Chicago.  Downtown Chicago is filled with big businesses and they want a fascist not a socialist.

The Palin thing I could have told you.  Religious wackos constantly make bad choices because they believe in faith and not works (AKA practicing what they preach).

Adlai Stevenson, who ran against Eisenhower twice for president, once said he would like to propose a deal with the Republicans.  If they stop lying about us, he said, we will stop telling the truth about them.  8^)

And it's still true.  Bad things said by Democrats about Republicans generally are true.  Palin's daughter IS pregnant.  But Republicans have to make stuff up, like Obama being a socialist.

Who gives a darn whether or not a candidates daughter is pregnant?  That has absolutely nothing to do with a candidate's positions or ability.  Who a candidate's political mentor is, however, can make all the difference in his/her performance.

Obama's mentor (Frank Marshall Davis) is not only a socialist, he's a member of the Communist Party U.S.A, who Obama admitted that he attended socialist meetings with.  That's not an attack on Obama's family, it's a criticism of his political orientation.  Afterall, Obama is the one running for president, not Sarah Palin's teenage daughter.

I think that Palin's daughter is pregnant is more shocking.  Republicans pride themselves on their strong family values, and a Republican with an unwed teenage daughter that is pregnant works against those values.  However, Democrats support policies that are friendly to socialist ideals, so it's not as shocking that Obama associated with a socialist.
