Is it a boy bird or girl?

How do you tell if it is a boy finch or a girl...plz help me

usually the only way to tell, if their feather color doesnt give it away, is to have a vet do a test.

Doubt if you can tell just from looking.  If you want to know for sure sure get a DNA kit or take the bird to an avian vet and ask for a DNA test.  Costs about $20.

Depends on which kind of finch it is - but some sure fire ways to tell are:

1. Males sing, females do not

2. Females lay eggs, males do not

3. In some species, males are often more brightly colored than hens
