Is it a bug bite or something else?

My daughter has a bite on her leg(upper thigh). It is greyish in the center and then around it is a dark pink and its firm. It is very sensitive to the touch, it isn't warm and she isn't running a fever but is it a bug bite or could it be something else? I already talked to her doctor over the phone and she wasn't very concerned but my friend has me worried. So any thing you could tell me would help thanks.

It sounds like a bed bug or spider bite.

Not trying to scare you but I had something like that on my arm and it was a type of blood disease and a staff infection in my arm.

If it's not hot around it and she's not running a fever, it's probably nothing. It could be anything from a pimple or boil to a bug bite. If it starts to spread, or a red streak runs up or down her leg from it, or it get's hot or she runs a fever, you should see a doctor.

my roomate had something that was like that and ignored it and it became almost the size of a baseball, it had progressed into a staph infrection, then to MRCA which isnt treatable by antibiodics, she has to have it surgically drained, couldnt walk for a week.
