Is it a cold or is it something terrible?

My one month old girl seems to have a cold. She has a very stuffy nose, sometimes sneezes and has a cough now and then. I have taken her to the doctors numerous times as she has had this for over 3 weeks and they have said its not on her chest. I have stayed a few times at a friends house and a selfish girl there has smoked in the house while she is there. Im just scared that this might be the problem and maybe its not a cold. I am panicking over it, does it sound like a cold or from cigarettes. petrified of losing her.

she doesnt sound stuffy when she is asleep. only while she is awake.

many babies stay congested after they are born , mine is 3 mos old an is still really stuffy

i have put a steam vaporizer in her room to help

but its suppsed to be relatively normal

Oh what a *****!!!! I can't believe someone would smoke around a poor little baby!!! seriously the next time that happens just go home!! what a rotten person!! I just can't believe she'd do that!!! were you forceful in telling her not to??? Boy I probably would have broke her cigarettes in a million pieces!

If You have brought her to your dr and he/she said its just a cold then I'm sure that's all it is. I understand how scared you are though1 that would be horrible!! And as for the smoking there are still thousands (of stupid, selfish, a$$hole) parents that don't care and smoke around their kids!!! Her being exposed to it is horrible and sad but....

3 weeks does seem like a long time for a cold to last is it possible to get a second opinion??? is the ER free where you live? If it is I'd go down there just to see what another doc has to say!!
