Killing someone is always a crime. Sure, there are mitigating circumstances that can lessen the sentence, like self-defense, etc. But no matter what, you're probably going to get punished for killing another human being. Society frowns on that.

it depends on the laws where you live.some places are very general on this and others are very specific.If you are doing it to protect yourself probably not,but a mistake?Was it or wasnt it a robber?
