  1. Yes!! i live here in puerto rico and yes for me the best place to stay is san juan but beware cuase the hotels are a little expensive...

  2. Yes it's a great idea. There is a lot to do. You should stay half of the time in San Juan. This is the tourist area & major city. There is great nightlife, restaraunts, casinos, beaches, hisorical sights like EL Morro, shopping... anything you can name. You can do the Bacardi Factory tour & a walking tour of Old San Juan. But you should also stay in a small  town area also. So you can get a feel of the 'Real Puerto Rico' :)

If you like outdors & mountains stay at the Casa Grande in Utuado. If you like surfing & sunsets then stay in Rincon. If you like golf stay in Dorado Embassy suites & you can also see Arecibo Telescope & Camuy Caves.  If you like fishing, snorkelling, rainforest then stay around Fajardo. You can stay in Ponce, another city & go to the Tibes Indian Park & see the Parque Las Bombas & go to Guanica, the dry forest.

Oh & if you want to go to St. Thomas or the US virgin islands then stay in Fajardo. There is a ferry or a small plane that can take you. Its not far, faster by plane.

  3. Yes, there are a lot of things going around on the island.  First the weather is wonderful. You can go to the beach everyday.  There are good hotels and even small guest houses in front of the ocean.  You can visit our Tropical Forest and even swim over there.  The beaches are only minutes from many places. You also can visit the towns in the center of the island to know a little about our culture. There are many discos and nice places to go.  Also you can visit Old San Juan and visit all the historic places, the pubs and the restaurants.
