  1. It is only worth doing if :

    1)It is cheap

2)It is a model and spec that was also sold in France

People who have tried to import US spec, ME spec or modified cars, etc have had problems with registration. Sometimes it is not possible without very expensive mods.

  2. You may still find you have to change the headlights when in France if the LHD vehicle has been used on UK roads

  3. Yes, you can buy a LHD car in the U.K. cheaper than you can in France.

Then when you go to France with it, it`s worth considerably more.

  4. I would have thought a LHD car would be cheaper to buy in France + you won't have the hassle of having to re-register it etc.

  5. Hi, I am currently living down south of France, and cars here are so expensive. I know numerous people that will buy a car from Germany than here in France!

Seriously look into LHD cars in England and see if you can get a good deal, but buying in France is not great!

  6. Yes it is second hand cars are very expensive here and are not very good we have always brought used cars but seven months after buying our leguna we ended up with a bill for threethousand euros the head gasket went whilst I was on a motorway the garage who sold us the car didn't want to know cars in England are much more reliable you can register an english car here you just need a few pieces of paper ie. proof of ownership log book and if over three years old you have to have an carte grise certificate (mot) which lasts two years here not one as in England good luck its a brilliant way of life here we just love it.
