Is it a good idea to buy a new battery for your ds lite right after you got the system?

i just got a new nintendo ds lite today. i was wondering should i get a new battery right away, or should i wait until the battery is not chargable anymore?

Well,you shouldn't worry already.I have Ds Lite one year and I had not any problems with the battery.Here is a tip to avoid destroying your battery:

Do not charge and play the same time.First charge it and then play.Also,when it has battery don't charge it.Wait untill it completely finishes and then charge it.Wish this helps!
