  1. buy a brothel

  2. I think you have to look at it as being a supermarket that also sells petrol.

  3. Not really.  It may be a pound a litre but the government gets most of that.

  4. No!!!!!

My ex-partner's family brought one back in 2000 and it was a big mistake - there is hardly any profit on fuel. Unless the products you sell in your adjoining shop make you a hefty profit it's not worth it.  It should be left to the big franchise stores.

    Good luck though!

  5. Yes but be careful about where it is situated. In rural areas you're not going to do much trade as everybody will go for the cheapest source. In a city people just want petrol and don't care about the cost. In the countryside while they're useful most people don't want to rely upon them and fill up at Tescos or similar.

  6. yes. because u can knock it down and build houses on it make money

  7. Why not?

People are going to need petrol, whatever the cost per litre is.

  8. Wow u have a lot of money............

  9. if you want to?

you can buy almost anything if you have the money

  10. To be honest no it isn't really a good idea. Because of the high taxation and duties on fuel, owners of independent petrol stations make little profit (they cannot put up prices because of competition from local supermarkets). This is why many petrol stations have little shops. It's a huge shame but this is the reason why so many little independent petrol stations have closed.

*Edit* Re: Answer below about knocking it down to build houses. If that is an option anyone wishes to consider, there is an additional financial cost - although the tanks will be empty, they will still have highly explosive fumes and will need to be filled completely with concrete before the area can be used as anything else. As these tanks hold tens of thousands of litres of fuel each (with each petrol station more than likely holding at least two tanks), this could be costly (and is another reason why you see closed petrol stations with the pumps still sitting there - this is due to the tanks not yet being filled with concrete). Just another thought to bear in mind.

  11. hmmmm... have you ever heard of hybrid cars? of global warming? of petrol price rising? of consumers being more enviromentally aware?

    study the trends first.
