Is it a good idea to call childline?/?

Question

Is it a free number even on a mobile phone? What does the person say to you wen you phone up? How should I deal with making a phonecall, as I get nervous calling people. I'll prob get stuck for words and not know what to say?

Please help I'm not sure whether its a good idea

YES! Go for it. It's free. The folks on the line are trained to help and not to freak you out. And you don't have to say or do anything that is too hard for you. And they never need to know who or where you are - you don't have to tell them that.

But, what they CAN do is make you feel a whole lot better. And help you out of some horrible problems. Honest. Give it a shot. You have nothing to loose.

its free even from a mobile. theyr there to help, they wont mind if u get stuck 4 words, or even if u hang up straight away.

Yes. It's free, and the staff are well trained and will guide you so don't feel awkward.

You can phone childline to talk about anything. Yes I would reccomend it, but you may be waiting a long time.

Well it can't be a bad idea.

If you feel you need to, then do. Everything you say to them is confidential.

Do keep trying if you don't get through right away though. They're always very busy and they say it can take a couple of times to get through.

They are all good people and they understand when you feel nervous. Just say what is on your mind, even if it is something small they will help you out no matter what it is, that's what they are there for

Aren't those phone calls recorded? I wouldn't say anything that someone could use against you!

If you have a reason to call them, then call!

It won't matter if you get nervous, the person on the other end of the phone will be really nice and will be very patient.  They just talk to you, don't make you do anything you don't want to.  No problem is too small.  Even just a bust up with your friend!
