  1. i wouldn't, give them thier own identity! for pics or special occasions its not bad, but all the time yes!

  2. I guess I didn't notice if anyone saying negative things about dressing twins similarly ARE actually twins themselves...because I'm a twin and have a lot of twins in my family...aunts, uncles, cousins...and we all look back at the pictures of us dressed alike and laugh with fond memories.

It's weird...it's almost like the whole world is looking for the reason the world is screwed up and they just attach themselves to "dressing twins the same" or "giving a little swat on the butt" or some other such nonsense that has nothing to do with it.  Stopping some of the things they bring up have a direct correlation to the negative behavior they're trying to prevent, for Pete's sake.

Listen...it's cute.  If she wants my little pony shirts, get him a shirt with a horse on it...if he wants a "cars" shirt, get her one with the Barbie car on it...you'll do JUST fine.  Have fun with it...they will stop you when they're ready to express their own individuality.  Everyone in my family did! :)  Plus, my daughter tries to get us to dress the same...I now have a pink Hanna Montana T in my closet since they had one "for grownups" too so we can dress alike...while it might traumatize ME ;), it won't stunt her individuality, it helps foster the bond between us - which is what it will do for your twins as well. :)

    Good luck! :)

  3. no they are two people  not one let them be there self's and when the grow up if they want to dress the same way the can my mom never put her twins (BOY & BOY ) in the same

  4. I have two sets of twins.

I think we only dressed them in the same colors during picture times, both sets are boy girl.

My twins are now 8 and 3 years old, and their personality shows in the clothes that they pick out for themselves.  Even in the three year olds, mis matched or not, they take pride, and tell you why they want to wear it.  They are individuals...encourage them as soon as possible to express their individuality.  They aren't just TWINS...they are TWO separate people.  Making them wear the same things daily or even frequently I don't think would be such a great idea.

  5. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not dress your twins in the same outfit. e and my brother used to always be in the same clothes and I hated it.

But then again its down to you.

  6. ok deff. not im a twin and my im a girl and my bro is a boy if u do dress em  da same only do it till there1st bday but only in certian colors lik baby blue, white, red, or tans ok but afta the 1st bday dont! othas need to tell em a part and i neva wanted to b dressed lik my bro so idt ur kids will want to b either

  7. I think it's cute!! especially when they're still babies!!!LOL

but don't let them wear the same color because maybe it will be hard to distinguish your kids..LOL

i think when you let a twin wear the same color, i think it will be considered redundancy..but also, when they grow up eventually, try to let them choose because remember, they're also different even though they're faces are the same..LOL..

  8. They're babies, they won't know.

I've seen lots of girl baby dresses in "boy" colors - blue, green, brown. Pop one in a dress and one in overalls and they're happy as clams. If anyone else has a problem with it, s***w them!

  9. i think for a boy and a girl, its okay to dress them in similar outfits, different colors, but not identical. at young ages, some people might not know the difference between the boy and the girl. and dont look like you're trying too hard to dress them

    good luck

  10. on just regular days?   no

for special occasions?     OFCOURSE.  that's the fun of twins.  lucky lady!

  11. My twin and I started to not dress alike when we started school, because we didn't want to be twins anymore...now that we are in our 30's we do sometimes dress alike to fool people.  It's amazing because we can still get - which one are you....?  hehe

  12. You know what? I believe it is all up to you. They are your kids and if thats what you like them in then do it. The only thing I would be afraid of is maybe if they were older and in school. Kids are mean to eachother. And I wouldn't them to get their feelings hurt if they got teased. But like I said, you do what you want. As long as they are safe and loved thats all that matters.

  13. I wouldn't, give them some individuality. maybe for the first year or two you can, or like imprtant parties or outings maybe, but after that I don't think you should.

  14. I dress mine similar > Both sets are Identical boys.

I love how people who have no experience with twins have their opinions. They basically count for sweet nothings.

My elder boys are 3 next month and love dressing up the same to fool people. If they want to wear different things, that's fine by me.

My babies wear blue grow suits and look sweet. I couldn't care what any thought of me.

If the kids are happy I am happy.

  15. not past there first birthday... PLEASE, your kids will thank you later

  16. i dont c y not if you want to dress them like that

  17. Uhmm... i guess, but the maybe not, depends on how old they are.

  18. since they are boy and girl, i am assuming that they are not identical twins. i think you should dress them in different colors. only do this when you have identical twins.

  19. no because if the girl wants a my little pony t-shirt then the boy is gonna have to wear it(pink, purple, light blue,sparkles,etc.....) and if the boy wants some hot wheels race car shirt then the girl is gonna have to wear it(black,white,gold,orange,etc.............

  20. If they're old enough, ask their opinion.  If they are too young to know the difference, I'd say have at it.  Now, obviously don't put a boy in pink.  lol  But I don't see the harm in dressing them similarly.

  21. However cute this appears when they're young it is the beginning of eroding their personalities... although twins (you don't say identical or not) they are still individual ... more so if not identical ... I think treat them just as boy and girl children - forget they are twins - dress them to compliment them .....

  22. it really depends on the age ...

young children can both wear white cream and yellow

but as they grow older the girls may war pink while boys wear blue.

give the children a sense of individuality.

  23. There is no "right" answer to your question.

It depends.  It depends on the opinions and social convention of your own family.  It depends on the twins age.  It depends on the individual response of your children - - their opinion counts too.

If you think it looks cute then try it out.  If everyone responses well then continue it.  At some point your children will want to express their individuality.  So do what you think is best and be willing to accommodate the wishes and needs of your children.

  24. Everyone always thinks it's cute but it's not what is best for the kids. If they are under a year and it's for a family photo then I think it's ok but not for all the time. You wouldn't go around dressing regular sibblings alike all the time would you? So why twns? Just because they are twins doesn't mean they are the same. As they get older you will wish people treated them more as individuals. As a mother of twin boys myself I get tired of everyone lumping them together as one person. I've always kept them separate in class as well so teachers wouldn't compare them. They are two different kids with different personalities, treat them that way.

Funny how people who don't even have any experience with twins think they know what's best and someone like me who HAS twins and the experience gets thumbs down LOL go figure.

  25. well.,. if the twins like it why not but if they don't like it then maybe let them choose :P

  26. I always think so its cute!

    X

  27. Every now and then why not!? Just for fun. I do it with my girl and my boy and they are not even twins. They haven't complained either. I have cute pictures of the two dressed like sailors.I got a lot of compliments on the street when I took them out in those outfits. Also a good place to find this kind of clothes is Hanna Andersson, while they are not exactly the same for the boy and the girl their outfits "match" and compliment each other.
