You most certainly can. The best way is to leave a couple of ice cubes in her water bowl so it's floating, cat's love that and will be very interested in trying to find out what the cubes are. This also encourages your cat to drink which is a huge plus. For a twist, freeze tuna juice or plain chicken broth in cube trays and serve. :)

i have three norwegian forest cat crosses who in very hot weather get ice cubes in their water bowl, it keeps the water cool and fresher for longer. if we didn't one of them would be very ill with heat stroke (he has a problem with his heart. cats don't like being overly hot although they do seek the sun and warmth. ice cubes will not harm them and my cats like to try and fish them out of the bowl and chase them around the room and just go plain crazy for them.

I dont think its a good idea. the cube could stick to her tongue, and also she may try to swallow it whole and get brain freeze! also, cats like being warm, so making sure she has plenty of water should be enough

Yeah cats love playing with ice cubes etc. It wont do them any harm.

Extremely cold water can upset their stomachs.

There's no reason to give them ice cubes, just make sure they have fresh water, that isn't standing in open sun and is refreshed at least daily.

As long as cats have access to shade and well ventilated areas, they cope with the heat just as much as we do (it may seem they're terribly hampered by all that fur, but fur doesn't just keep in warmth, it keeps in cold too.)

i dont think it will hurt as long as the cat doesnt swallow the ice cubes but if your realy worried about it i would just give him cold water

a great idea, put it on the floor and the cat will have great fun, they l**k it and when it moves, they chase, just keep an eye out... the cat could swallow it but it is fine for them. its something new

Yes it will be fine, even u can put it in her water bowl its very cool to drink for hot weather, I gave some ice cubes to my dog too LOL
