well if you havent left on your camping trip yet hold off until the rain passes,if you are already out there somewhere just wait in side you tent ....i dont recommend standing out in the raiin while  its thundering.be safe and smart....toodles!

Thunder storm means there is clashing of hot and cold. Which mean clashing of electrons and protons creating lighting but you need enough of both.  Some storms lighting goes up and not down basically never making it to you. Depends on weather. If your area is used to lighting strikes(as of reaching its objectiive..telephone pole ect. then id say it is not the best idea but dont be standing near the tallest tree if you go. Normally it is ok. All depends on how large the storm is and how much hot and cold clashing basically to get that spark.

oh by the way..you have a better chance of being killed then be struck by lighting.

If you are expecting severe weather in your region, then you may want to reconsider.  There have been a number of occasions in which lightning has struck and killed hikers/campers on hillsides/mountainsides.  

Not only this, but strong winds are very dangerous in heavily wooded areas as the winds can push down trees on top of tents.  If you are on a lake, you become an easy target as wind can capsize your watercraft or lightning can hit you in the middle of the water.

No you'll probably die if you get struck by lightening.

& Don't go all that will never happen to me cause there is a chance you could.

Not a good idea unless you want to die haha.
