Is it a good idea to go into technical writing?

I will be graduating at the end of the upcoming semester. I am majoring in Psychology, however I don't want to pursue it right away. I was thinking of getting a certificate in Technical Writing because I feel like it would broaden my horizons. Additionally, I did some research and the pay is very good after getting the experience of course

How is the technical writing field?

Would I be making a mistake getting a certificate in that particular field?

  3. Write the word read, and  speak it  under your  breath as you write it, you are reading it,  and you chould be able to hear this,  so please listen.  (THE VOICE SHOULD BE IN YOUR MIND, AND YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO YOURSELF CREATE).  YYou see, this experience  in all four parts  should  be as flowing as the light  in which you write , read,  speak and  listen to yourself. There is no situation in communication , where these four parts  do not exist simultaneously.  By the time, you master this , you will have  the ability to write  anything you want to write, read what you want, and speak as  you desire, and lisrten  so well, as to learn as you go.

There is an old  saying  , "you can listen as well as you hear", (MIKE AND THE MECHANICS, "in the living years"!

  4. I've seen LOTS of 'want-ads' lately for technical writers.  Ideally, everyone wants someone with experience, but if you don't have it, your certificate may be that foot in the door you want and need to grow with a GREAT company.

I say yes, if you can afford it, GO FOR IT!   Anytime you get a certificate or can show additional education, it helps give you an edge over the competition!

  5. Yes.
