June and July will be rainy season in most part of India and as such you willnot be able to enjoy your holidays there during these months.

The best time to go to India is August/September. It is before the monsoon (rainy season) but not as hot as it is earlier.

I would suggest that you travel in Early June rather than July as there are more disease and such problems that have developed into the month of July due to rains and floods. If you can december would be the best time. Enjoy...
