Is it a good idea to have a 50th for my husband and our 25th anniversaries ?

I'm thinking to make it altogather and thinking what to do for a party like that? Any ideas.

  1. I don't know if it's such a good idea to host a party and expect your guests to buy their drinks.  If you can't afford to pay for their liquor, then just serve tea and sodas.  Otherwise, maybe limit it to only beer (from a keg or two) and several bottles of two or three types of wine.  Anyone not wanting those can just have a Coke.


  2. Good idea, 50th birthday and 25 year anniversary.  I know someone that did the same thing. They had a weekend- long bash and invited everyone they knew. They had golf for anyone that wanted to play and a big picnic one day, a huge banquet dinner the next evening. Their relatives came from all over the country. It probably cost some serious money, but people are still talking about it.

  3. I would emphasize the anniversary more than the 50 year birthday.
