  1. Sure-if you have tons to recycle. Otherwise doesnt make sense.

  2. No.  The best thing to do is buy an old diesel car and use the cooking oil instead of regular fuel.  The oil should be filtered to remove food particles but the car will run with no problems.  They did it on Top Gear with an old Volvo running on used oil from a chip shop.

PS, Make sure the tank is properly empty before putting the oil in.

  3. Sure - better than throwing it out.  If he/she is running a vehicle on biodiesel, they're contributing very little pollution to the atmosphere, espeically as compared to gasoline.

  4. How come the enviromentalists haven't stopped to ask themselves where is all this used oil going to come from? That's alot of Big Macs to power a car. What happens when you have to power a million cars?

  5. NO! take it back with you next time you visit silly! You would be wasting gas. Conserve, conserve, conserve!!

  6. Absolutely.  Oils, batteries or anything other than plastic, paper and glass aren't as easy to dispose of...especially if your service doesn't pick up recyclables.  Here, and I think most places you have to go to the "dump" to dispose of oils, batteries, etc.  So yes, it is a good idea to have someone come pick it up and dispose of it properly than it going in the sink, the toilet or the ground (I've heard of people doing all three with cooking oil...I am an Atlanta native = dirty south).

  7. It makes no sense to use gasoline to drive the miles to pick up cooking oil that would cost less to buy right out  polute the air with your fumes.    It would make no sense - unless, you could find other things you need to take care of in that neighborhood.

  8. yeah of course
