Is it a good idea to keep old checkbooks for records?

Since moving multiple times in the last few years we have stored up many old checkbooks from different banks some completely used and others only partially. Is it a good idea to keep them for records? If so what records would they be filed under?

  2. if keeping those books is not a problem i suggest you to keep it, you never know when you going to need it.

  3. I keep mine for 5ys like all other paper work that can be questioned by IRS.  I put my copies with the bill associated with.. Charities under charities.  Hope this helps you.
