  1. Babies can not have cow's milk til 1 year old.  If you want to supplement, I would do it with formula.

  2. You can always pump your breastmilk when you go back to work. That would be ideal, and it isn't difficult. The worst thing to do would be to mix cows milk with ANYTHING. Babies shouldn't have cows milk until 1 year old because it can cause digestive issues and stomach bleeding. Good for you for wanting to breastfeeding! Heres some information that may be useful to you:

  3. The best food for a baby is human milk.  Juat like the best food for a calf is cow milk... The questiion is if human breastfeeding is how to feed a human baby?   so what is good for human babies?

do you want your child to feed on "formula" or breast/human milk?

I have studied and know, that the best nurtrition for a human baby is human milk, and I would suggest breastfeeding as the best food for humans, including adults.

  4. babies should not have cows milk until they are one year old. if you have to go to work you can pump extra breastmilk and store it to be used while you are at work

  5. no, that makees for a very gassy, cranky baby.  Breast feed for 3 months, try Nestle formula till the babys 1 (i used it, baby had no problems with it).  Then switch to whole milk for the baby at age 1.

  6. Most pediatricians recomend that cow's milk not be used until a year old.  If you have to mix, use milk based formula.

My wife and many friends used a breast pump to express mothers milk.  It is kept cold with a freezer pack.

If there is a husband or domestic partner, he/she can use the bottle and you can feed directly.  Breast milk is the best food for your baby.

Our kids were on breast milk for over a year despite weening between 6 to 9 months old. (we have four).  We froze the milk and mixed it with powdered formula for night feeding.  It actually helped them sleep better.

For more information about breast feeding, contact your local LeLeche League.  You can also do some light reading with "what to expect when you're expecting" and "what to expect in the first year".

  7. (i am going to assume you meant to say bottle feeding with cows milk formula not actual cows milk)

when you supplement breastfeeding with formula your production of milk goes down

yes it can be done but you would be better off pumping while at work and breastfeeding when at home

  8. no, never add cows milk! beast feed or bottle ONLY, only give cow milk at about 2 years old. Babies should be starting solids about 4 or months old, so there is NO need for cows millk.
