I just got a sample of a new foundation that I like the colour of, but it feels too thick..... I was thinking of cutting it with my moisturising cream....but I am a bit worried it makes it worse for my skin? Or is it not a good idea to do??? Help!

  1. i mix olay moisturising cream with collection 2000 foundation and it works GREAT! just make sure that u mix it properly, so the 2 dont separate. Its an instant tinted moisturiser, so theres no need to buy one.

  2. No i always do it. Its fine and is much better to create a flawless look.

I always mix a little with some foundation. Then use a cover up stick on my problem areas and then set with some powder. :)

  3. Yup ;D

  4. Sure you can do this if you want, but it's not really ideal.

It can sometimes seperate, and it will wear off easier.

Try buying a clinique foundation next time- these have oil balancing properties and already contain moisturisor.

Until next time, that would be fine.

    good luck

  5. I do it and it works a treat.

Either that or i dollop some on a face wipe and add some moisturiser or toner to it and then set it with powder.  Perfect.

  6. yes you can.

diluting the foundation out with the moisturiser is to sheer out the foundation. I always do that when I am doing shoots and commercials.

put lesser foundation and more moisturiser is like making your own tinted moisturiser. You can also dilute your foundation with sunscreens to create similar effects.

  7. Yes that is a good idea, it will be good for your skin and help it look more natural and if you have a SPF in your moisturiser it will help protect your skin from the sun when your out and about.

  8. Yep , i used to do it. It feels way more refreshing

  9. I mix my moisturiser with foundation and its fine. It is ok for skin as well

  10. I've done it for years.  Just use a tiny bit of moisturizer like the size of a pea. Blend them together in the palm of your hand and apply with a sponge. It won't make it worse for your skin as long as you are using the correct kind of moisturizer for your skin type.

  11. No! Don't do that your just breaking down the moisturizer by dilluting it! Don't waste it like that. Use your moisturzer first wait for it to sink in so you get all the benfits of it. Then use your foundation. OK! Good Lcuk!!!

  12. yep

  13. thats basically tinted moisturizer . so yeah its good for your skin , and plus it wont be so heavy on your sking
