Is it a good idea to take tablets on holiday that delay my period?

the doctor talked about build up etc and a heavy period after

im only 15 do you think i should bother

Are you talking about Northisterone (Progesterone)? That's perfectly fine to take to defer your period. You mentioned 'build up' so you could be talking about running the pill back to back without the withdrawal bleed? this is ok, as long as you don't run more than two packs together at a time, other wise the lining of the uterus will 'build up' If it's just a one off, then there should be no issue.

It is perfectly safe but if you get a tummy bug whilst abroad the tablets won't work and you'll end up with a period anyway.

Ive done it  a few times. you will be ok. Be careful with your contraception control tho.

I have done this many times with no bad effects.
